My first and most obvious problem with the subjects is that I am an English major at an all-girls college in the Midwest. If you do not choose a topic for an essay topic, it is almost certain that the essay will consist of a list of random facts and figures. So, you need to identify your intended audience before you begin.Writing an essay for American Gods presented a challenge because I couldn't come up with a topic because the characters in the story did not have one. As such, the topics were based on character names and the things that character did, not on the subjects that the characters addressed. Fo rtunately, the author has created several themes for the characters, so I could make sure that every topic was specific to the character.The topics for American Gods are a great starting point for those who are interested in crafting a topic for their essay. They should be considered as a guideline, however, and not as definitive guidelines. For example, as I pointed out earlier, I have no special skills for the topic of science. As such, I would say that the topics for American Gods were not at all set in stone.
